SPR 2024 post-conference workshop
Web based | 18 July 2024

Title: Introduction to Structural Equation Modeling
Presenter: Meghan Cain, Assistant Director, Educational Services, StataCorp
Date: Thursday, 18 July 2024
Time: 11:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. ET
Description: Structural equation models (SEMs) can model a wide range of hypotheses. They can include latent constructs, such as depression or well-being, and their measurement models. Observed and latent variables can be modeled as both predictors and outcomes simultaneously, providing a flexible framework for testing complex hypotheses.

This workshop will introduce you to SEM analysis in Stata. You will see how to fit simple models, such as regression and confirmatory factor analysis, and models with both measurement and structural components. To conclude, participants will learn how to evaluate health equity through measurement invariance and multiple-group analysis.
