| Abstract: | There are not nearly as many females as males in the software development/programming field, an area that we can definitely recommend more women in statistics to get involved in. Several panelists will join together to share candid experiences, inspiring stories, and empowering talks to encourage more women to consider programming as a choice for their career and to gain the ability and influence to make good software packages to help educate others and make a difference. |
Yulia Marchenko
Yulia Marchenko is Executive Director of Statistics at StataCorp. Yulia has been with Stata for over 15 years and has more than 20 years of software development experience. Her primary responsibility is to oversee Stata's development in many areas of statistics and biostatistics, including Bayesian analysis, multiple imputation, meta-analysis, multilevel modeling, survival analysis, and power analysis. Yulia has a PhD in statistics from Texas A&M University.
