Program coming soon

The 31st UK Stata Conference will take place on 11–12 September.

This two-day international conference provides Stata users worldwide with the opportunity to exchange ideas, experiences, and information on new applications of the software. Experience what happens when new and longtime Stata users from across all disciplines gather to discuss real-world applications of Stata. Everyone interested in Stata is welcome. The UK Conference is the longest-running series of Stata conferences. The event attracts a global audience, and StataCorp will be represented.

Presentation topics may include the following

  • New community-contributed commands for model estimation, graphing, data management, results reporting, or other purposes
  • New approaches for using Stata together with other software
  • Innovative use or evaluations of existing Stata commands
  • New analytic methods of particular relevance to Stata users
  • Case studies of using Stata for applications in various disciplines
  • Methods and resources for teaching statistics with Stata or for teaching the use of Stata

Presentations by StataCorp

Di Liu

Di Liu is a Principal Econometrician in the econometric development team at StataCorp LLC. Di is fascinated by writing statistical software for researchers and doing research in both theoretical and applied econometrics. He is the primary developer of some Stata features, including heterogeneous DID, instrumental variable quantile regression, treatment effects estimation using lasso, lasso for prediction, lasso for inference, spatial autoregressive models, heckpoisson, and betareg. He also published research articles in Canadian Journal of Economics, Econometrics Reviews, Empirical Economics, Econometrics and Statistics, and the Stata journal. Di has a PhD degree in economics from Concordia University in Montreal, Canada; an engineer's degree in software engineering and statistics from Polytech'Lille in Lille, France; and master's and bachelor's degrees in computer science from Hohai University in Nanjing, China.

Alex Asher

Alex Asher is a senior biostatistician and software developer at StataCorp LLC, where he specializes in methods for the design and analysis of clinical trials. He holds a PhD in statistics from Texas A&M University, where he focused on developing methodology for cancer research. Known to invert covariance matrices with his bare hands, Alex is interested in, among other things, biostatistics, semiparametrics, machine learning, statistics education, and Bayesian statistics.


Logistics organizer

The logistics organizer for the 2025 UK Stata Conference is Timberlake Consultants, the Stata distributor to the United Kingdom and Ireland, France, Spain, Portugal, the Middle East and North Africa, Brazil, and Poland.
