Stata 19 is here! Have you upgraded?
Stata 19 is here, and we can't wait for you to try it. The latest version introduces powerful new features designed to enhance your research, improve efficiency, and streamline reporting. Key developments include:
- Machine learning: The all-new h2oml suite allows users to build high-performance predictive models via H2O from within Stata.
- Statistics: Over 20 new statistical features include commands for causal inference (conditional average treatment effects), panel data analysis (high-dimensional fixed effects, correlated random effects, VAR), Bayesian analysis (variable selection for linear regression, quantile regression), survival analysis (interval-censored multiple-event Cox model), and more.
- Tables: Create, customize, and export tables with one command, and more easily create tables of tabulations, ANOVA results, and more.
- Graphics: New graph types, such as heat maps, bar plots with confidence intervals, and range/point plots, have been added alongside improved labeling and color customization options.
- Workflow: The Do-file Editor has expanded autocompletion and code-folding tools, and introduced file templates, word/selection highlighting, temporary bookmarks, and a new Navigator panel.

How to upgrade
Accessing Stata 19 is easy! You can start using the latest features by purchasing an annual license or upgrading your existing perpetual license. All current annual license and maintenance holders were sent an email to request their free upgrade to Stata 19. If you are using a multiuser license, please check with your network's administrator to receive the upgraded version.
