Statement of FDCC Compliance for Stata 17
Stata 17 is developed and distributed by StataCorp LLC,

Stata 17 has been tested on the test images of the FDCC
available from
http://nvd.nist.gov/fdcc/download_fdcc.cfm. See the answers to the specific
questions below.
- The product was tested using the tools from the NIST (on the FDCC)
site.
Both the Windows Vista and Windows XP virtual PC operating system
images from the FDCC site were downloaded, and Stata 17 was tested on both of them with no problems during installation or
normal usage. The Stata Installation Qualification Tool was used to
verify that every file installed properly and matched the manufacturer
checksum.
- The software has been tested to assure that it runs at
“user level” (without elevated “power user” or
“administrative” privileges) for normal operation of the
product.
Stata 17 has been tested in standard user accounts on
the above operating systems. Normal operation of Stata
17 does not require elevation of the user to power
user or administrative privileges.
Note: Normal operation does not include installing and updating Stata.
Administrator privileges are required for installing and updating
Stata.
- The software does not change the core configuration of the
desktop during installation or use.
