Why organizational training

Content flexibility. Customize a course or choose from one of our existing courses. Any of our existing courses can be modified to fit your needs. You may choose the topics most relevant to your organization.

Knowledgeable instructors. Our attentive instructors are experts in their fields and in Stata. You can rely on their experience to guide you through lessons in an engaging manner.

Convenience. Eliminate costly employee travel time. Schedule the training when it is convenient for you and your team. Courses are offered both in-person and virtually.

What we provide

Expert instructor. The course fee includes all instructor travel and accommodations.

Course materials. We provide a set of course notes for each participant. After the course completes, the instructor provides the log files from the course.

Course license. We provide a temporary course license that not only covers the course but also extends two weeks beyond course completion, allowing your team extra practice time.

What you provide

Computer lab. Our training is interactive, so you need a web-enabled computer lab so participants can work along with the lessons.

Participants. We limit the courses to a maximum of 24 participants so that the instructor can maintain a high level of interaction with the entire class.

Available courses

Bring any of the following courses directly to your users. All courses are customizable.

Using Stata effectively: The fundamentals

Aimed at both new Stata users and those who wish to learn techniques for efficient day-to-day use of Stata, this course enables you to use Stata in a reproducible manner, making collaborative changes and follow-up analyses much simpler. Exercises will supplement the lectures and Stata examples. (Learn more)
In-person: 2 full days; Virtual: 4 half days

Multilevel/mixed models using Stata

Measure and account for clustering and grouping at multiple levels. Whether linear or nonlinear, multilevel modeling allows for random intercepts and slopes at multiple levels, reducing the problems of too-much or too-little data aggregation. The course is interactive, uses real data, offers ample opportunity for specific research questions, and provides exercises to reinforce what you learn. (Learn more)
In-person: 2 full days; Virtual: 4 half days

Panel-data analysis using Stata

Learn both the theory and the practice of panel-data analysis. After introducing the fixed-effects and random-effects approaches to unobserved individual-level heterogeneity, the course covers linear models with exogenous covariates, linear models with endogenous variables, dynamic linear models, and some nonlinear models. The course also offers an introduction to the generalized method of moments estimation technique. Exercises supplement the lessons and Stata examples. (Learn more)
In-person: 2 full days; Virtual: 4 half days

Structural equation modeling using Stata

Learn how to illustrate, specify, and fit structural equation models in Stata, using both Stata's SEM builder and the sem command. The course introduces several types of models, including path analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, full structural equation models, and latent growth curves. Exercises supplement the lessons and Stata examples. (Learn more)
In-person: 2 full days; Virtual: 4 half days

Survey data analysis using Stata

Set up and analyze data from complex survey designs. The course covers the sampling methods used to collect survey data and how they affect the estimation of totals, ratios, and regression coefficients. The course also covers Stata's support for many survey variance estimators, including linearization, balanced and repeated replications (BRR), and jackknife. Exercises supplement the lessons and Stata examples. (Learn more)
In-person: 2 full days; Virtual: 4 half days

Time-series analysis using Stata

Learn how to efficiently use Stata for time-series analysis. Topics include data management, estimation, model selection, hypothesis testing, and interpretation. Exercises supplement the lessons and Stata examples. (Learn more)
In-person: 2 full days; Virtual: 4 half days

Handling missing data using multiple imputation

Learn the fundamentals of multiple imputation (MI) for regaining power lost by missing data. The course covers all aspects of using MI analysis interactively. Topics include creation of MI data using the multivariate-normal and chained-equations (a.k.a. fully conditional specification) imputation methods, manipulation of MI data, and analysis of MI data. Exercises supplement the lessons and Stata examples. (Learn more)
In-person: 2 full days; Virtual: 4 half days
