Register your software

Before contacting Technical Services, please make sure that your copy of Stata is registered. As a registered Stata user, you are entitled to technical assistance should you have any questions, and we will keep you updated of any new products or advancements that have been announced.

To register your copy of Stata, fill out the online registration form or return the registration card that came with your Stata software.

Make sure Stata is up to date

Keeping your copy of Stata up to date ensures that you have access to the very latest commands and features in Stata. We issue free updates to Stata nearly twice a month.

The easiest way to make sure your Stata is up to date is to type update all in Stata's command window and then follow the on-screen instructions. Alternatively, you may pull down Stata’s Help menu and select Official Updates. Find out more about keeping Stata up to date.
