About a year ago, Nick Cox suggested that we should all read the User's Guide once a year, which I immediately (and obediently) did. I got Mike Mitchell's book and read it (of course, not everything stayed with me).
Maybe we should suggest that Mitchell + [G] be read annually?

The consistency of the style of Stata`s manuals is valuable, though, and I
would hate to see it destroyed. Michael`s book can be purchased in addition,
I would say...

There is a lot to be said for making Michael's book the official
guide. A graphical manual for graphics seems to me the right approach.
