Stata 6: Why are my data showing up as missing values?

You have installed the Intercooled version of Stata, but your computer has no math coprocessor. You can confirm this by entering

        display 2+2

If Stata does not say 4, then you do not have a math coprocessor, which is required by Intercooled Stata. Rerun the installation and install Pseudo-Intercooled Stata, which has all the greater limits that Intercooled Stata provides without the math coprocessor requirement. Note that Pseudo-Intercooled Stata is slower than Intercooled Stata.
