Yes Ronan has exactly identified the problem with such transfer. As much as the conversion is concerned there is no mentioning about what type of variables are there in the Artur's data. If he is able to understand the nature of variables, he should firsthand check and format the variables types in the SPSS variable windows, rest conversion might have less problems.
