Lisa,
My understanding is that the coding for the graph editor so convoluted compared to Stata code that it is essentially another language entirely and not amenable for use in a do file. However, within the graph editor you can use the recorder to document the changes that you make from the standard graph and save those as a ‘program’ to run within that environment at any time in the future.
