I am not sure if this is what you are looking for, but there is an ado
file dealing with
piecewise regression written by Mark Lunt that looks for breakpoints.
Look up
"broken stick" using the Stata archive search box and it should point
you to a series
of archived statalist messages on this topic. I understand the ado file
can be downloaded from Mark's website.
