I installed STATA9 on Linux Fedora 9. When I started it, the system informed that "/usr/local/stata9/xstata-se: error while loading shared libraries: libgtk-1.2.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory"

Could you help me to solve this error?

Thank you.
If Vo provides the output of -ldd /usr/local/stata9/xstata-se- to [email protected], we will be able to offer the best solution as he may be missing other libraries.

In the interim, he can also try to install the GTK 1.2 libraries as root (or sudo):

# yum -y install gtk+

to see if that resolves the issue.
