Stata IC was the first software I used in undergrad school. I had little
computer experience at the time and found Stata fairly easy to use. As a
grad student, I opted to purchase IC version via the Grad Plan for
convenience. It is worth the price, which is not much via the Grad Plan. I
also use SAS, SPSS and R, but still prefer Stata.
