Thanks to Kit Baum, a new version of -mif2dta- is now available from the SSC Archive.
-mif2dta- converts MapInfo Interchange Format files (aka MIF files) to Stata datasets usable by -spmap-, a user-written Stata program (available from the SSC Archive) aimed at visualizing spatial data.
Users of the old version of -mif2dta- should note that this version of the program (2.0.0) has been largely re-written and follows a different syntax than the old one. Therefore, if you have a lot of do-files using the old version of -mif2dta-, you are advised to rename your old copy of -mif2dta- to something else before installing the new version.
Best wishes,
Maurizio Pisati
