Stata 10 has the ability to copy images (such as graphs) to the Clipboard in
the PDF format (which supports rotated text). However, MS Office 2004 does
not support PDF from the Clipboard so we added a preference to Stata 10 that
allows you to copy images from Stata in the PICT format (which does not
support rotated text).
The recently released Office 2008 for Macintosh now supports pasting of images
in the PDF format from the Clipboard. If you recently upgraded to Office 2008
or use any other software that supports PDF from the Clipboard, make sure you
have the checkbox for "Copy images to the Clipboard as PICT" in the General
Preferences dialog unchecked.
