Subject | st: How to fix 2 errors in Notepad++ syntax highlighting? |
Date | Thu, 13 Feb 2014 00:24:30 -0500 |
Dear Statalist, I am using the excellent syntax highlighting for Notepad++ found at http://code.google.com/p/notepad-stats-integration/ and have encountered two minor errors. 1) Compound double-quotes don't seem to get recognized properly, and occasionally you have to put // " at the end of a line to "close" a compound double-quote. 2) It doesn't seem to distinguish between * at the beginning of a line (indicating comment) and in the middle of a line (indicating multiplication or, in Mata, pointer). Have others managed to fix these? Notepad++ is such an enormous improvement over the stock do-file editor and it would be great to get syntax highlighting really working right - it's 99.9% of the way there.
