Dirk,
Kit Baum could probably provide more details on how the -hot-
subcommand works, but it seems simply to be the case that the .dta
file is in Stata 13 format. I have not upgraded yet, but I used Sergiy
Radyakin's -use13- (SSC) to access the file in Stata 12, typing
. use13 http://repec.org/docs/sschotPPPcur.dta
and this works perfectly.
Best
Daniel

Could it be that the command -ssc hot- is broken? I am receiving the
error message
file http://repec.org/docs/sschotPPPcur.dta not Stata format
r(610);
