This might be a bit more complicated than it seems at a first glance.
Say you run the do-file foo.do. This file calls bar.do which in turn
calls foobar.ado which in turn calls mymatafcn.mata which in turn
calls ...
But see -help trace- for a useful debugging tool.

I suggest the following potential improvement
It would be very useful - if in the case of an error following the run
of a do file - stata will notify the number of row where it stopped.
