Hi 

I am converting continuous variable into group variable (group_stafreg), when ever i run the command it shows me  "unknown el ) in rule r(198);.

the variable is change in staff

when i run the command 

 recode totalstaffadchreg(min/2.50=1)(2.51/5.0=2)(5.1/max).gen(group_stafreg)

unknown el ) in rule
r(198);


Any help appreciated .
