st: finding a statalist posting from last year about demonstrating the effect of weights on the data

Hi All,
About a year ago there was a response to a posting that referred readers to
a book that showed how pweights actually work. The book ran through an
example and used -sum-, -total-, and -regress- to show how the weights
worked.
I can't seem to find that posting (or the book that was referenced). Perhaps
someone remembers it?
Thanks!
Ariel
