Anything can happen as you add variables and interactions to a model. My first question, though, is did you also add x when you added F? When you add interactions the lower level terms used to create the interactions should usually be in there as well.

Hi, Statalist,
I am confused about the interaction in gologit2.
in gologit2 model, if my raw model has independent variables A,B,C,D. when i add interaction F=A*x, then in the new model ,the sign of coefficient of A didn't change, but the sign of coefficientsB , C or D changed. Does this imply that my model is unstable, or have some problems?

thanks
