Subject | st: New package -xglm- for SSC |
Date | Fri, 17 Jun 2011 14:00:30 +0100 |
Hello KitDuring yor absence from Boston, I uploaded a new package -xglm-, which is described as below on my website, and which I would like to submit for distribution at SSC. It is currently downloadable from the Imperial College FileExchange temporary URL
https://fileexchange.imperial.ac.uk/files/d0ae54a1ae/xglm.zip and will be deleted on 24/06/2011 13:38:33.The -xglm- package currently adds one extra estimation result to -glm-, namely the scalar -e(depvarsum)-, giving the sum of the dependent variable in the estimation sample. This result is useful if I do a logistic regression and want to output the results to a -parmby- resultsset complete with the numbers of observations and events. The minimum of the number of events and the number of non-events can be useful as a diagnostic, especially if divided by the number of parameters (calculated from -e(df_m)-) to produce a number of events per parameter, and to warn the user if this ratio is less than 5 (in which case the Central Limit Theorem may not look after the user very well).
Best wishes (and thanks in advance, and hoping you had a nice time away form Boston)
