How about using -corr2data-, see http://www.stata.com/help.cgi?corr2datato convert the correlation matrix into a dataset, and then you can use commands like -pcorr- on the dataset?
I hope that helps, Michael N. Mitchell Data Management Using Stata - http://www.stata.com/bookstore/dmus.html A Visual Guide to Stata Graphics - http://www.stata.com/bookstore/vgsg.html Stata tidbit of the week - http://www.MichaelNormanMitchell.com On 2010-11-18 11.16 PM, Kristian Karlson wrote:
Hi, Do you know whether there exists a Stata command that can report the partial correlations directly from the correlation matrix. I only have the correlation matrix, not the underlying variables. I consequently cannot use the commands pcorr, pcorr2, or pcorrmat. To be specific, I have a correlation matrix with 11 variables (y and x1-x10). I am interested in the partial correlations of y and x given the remaining x'es (for all x'es).
