I am importing a SAS 9.2 dataset into Stata using the inputst command. While I can import the data fine using inputst, the SAS variable names are a mixture of upper case and lower case, and I would like to have them to all be lower case in Stata. I know which StatTransfer Command Processor commands that I want to use, but I am having difficulty understanding how (and whether) I can modify the inputst and/or stcmd .ado files to force all imported variable names to be lower case. Any help would be much appreciated!

Thanks,
Scott
