Thanks to Kit Baum an update of the -seqlogit- package is now available
from SSC. To install this update type in Stata:
-ssc install seqlogit, replace-, or -adoupdate, update-.

The -seqlogit- package estimates a sequential logit model, which can
be used to model a process that consists of a number of discrete steps,
e.g. education is attained by first deciding whether or not to finish
primary education, than those that finish primary education can continue
to choose whether or not finish secondary education, etc. The -seqlogit-
package has two aims: 1) to facilitate a decompostion proposed by Buis
(2010a) of the effect of explanatory varialbes on the final outcome (e.g.
highest attained level of education) into effects of these variables on
the odds of passing the constituent transtions and weights that represent
how influential that transition is. 2) to facilitate a sensitivity
analysis to investigate the potential influence of unobserved variables as
proposed by Buis (2010b).

In this update I added a tool, -seqsens-, which can help when performing a sensitivity analysis. In particular, it helps store, use, and keep track
of, the different models that make up the sensitivity analysis. Some examples can be found on this website <http://maartenbuis.nl/haifa>, which
contains materials for a workshop on unobserved heterogeneity in sequential
logit models.
