Dear Benjamin, Given that the variable appears in both parts of the model, -mfx- reports the overall impact of this variable on the expected value, which may be significant despite the fact that both coefficients are not significant individually. In addition, statistical significance of marginal effects and (semi-)elasticities may differ. Does anybody know how this can happen? all best Benjamin Zentrum für Europäische Wirtschaftsforschung GmbH (ZEW), L7,1 68161 Mannheim Sitz der Gesellschaft: Mannheim Amtsgericht Mannheim HRB 6554 Aufsichtsratsvorsitzender: Gerhard Stratthaus MdL, Finanzminister a.D.
