st: Question on spmap and region aggregation

Dear stata-list users,

I have a database and a coordinates datafile for regions that are called "municipalities". Now, municipalities can be aggregated into bigger regions called "districts". The database file also includes this information.

As an example:

Database file:

Municipality   District      id
a1                         A           1
a2                         A           2
b1                         B           3
b2                         B           4
b3                         B           5
etc


Is it possible to get a map only with the districts? Note that the coordinates file includes the coordinates for the municipalities (i.e. at a more disaggregated level than districts).
