Thanks Michael.
I'm currently using Stata64 10.1 (we're still waiting for Stata 11 in the
mail). It appears that your suggestion, title("Group-A {&beta}-hemolytic
{it:Streptococcus}"), should work in Stata 11 and that this is a new feature
with Stata 11. Maybe it's not possible to get italics in graph titles using
prior versions.
