The help for table states 
"    Options
...
      row                  add row totals
      col                  add column totals
 
but this example shows the opposite.

. table Station comply230, col

     10W3 |     2      3      5

[R] p404 is consistent with the output: "col specifies that a column be
added to the table reflecting the total across columns" but that's not
the usual logic or English.  It's also perversely the opposite of "tab ,
row/col" which report the row/col percentages.  It clearly fooled the
documentation writer as p407 contradicts, "We can obtain row totals by
specifying the row option ..."

Computers do what you tell them, not what you want.
