Several more comments. Exactly what is the blue ssc line for estout
tracking? If you look up, it is tracking outreg2. Even when outreg2
has been inflated due to the recent updates, the estout numbers still
manages to track outreg2 numbers. This is a dead giveaway that the
estout has been manipulated to match the outreg2 movements.

In case anyone else thinking they will make adjustment for the repec:
there are several more series to make comparisons with. I have not
done anything fancy like detrending or triangulation or whatever they
call these things. Manipulating the download numbers is a very bad
idea. And you will get to do it for the rest of your life. The numbers
will drop as soon as you get tired or get busted by Kit.

A word of advice to people who for some reason want to get to the top
of ssc ranking. All I have seen is trouble from being on the top of
that list. Stuffs like manipulating the ranking or plagiarizing
programs is a potential career killer. I don't recommend this. It may
take several years but it will eventually come up. You will note that
I have tried to ignore this as long as possible hoping it will go away
on its own.
