st: Re: jeditors: Stata Journal to be indexed in Social Sciences Citation Index
For technical reasons only 86 of the 398 articles in the SJ to date
are included in our citation analysis service (CitEc). I have asked
the manager of that service to see if the additional articles can be
included. These citations only include citations from other items in
RePEc, but that is in fact more comprehensive in one sense than SSCI:
the citations can be coming from published articles (as SSCI includes)
or from working papers.
For the 86 articles included, I have information on the number of
works citing each Stata Journal article. The number of cites (which
may include self-cites or cites from different versions of a working
paper, to be sure):

Subject: jeditors: Stata Journal to be indexed in Social Sciences
Citation Index
On behalf of the Stata Journal, we are very pleased to announce that
beginning with the first 2010 issue, the Stata Journal will be indexed
in the Current Contents/Social and Behavioral Sciences (CC/S&BS) and
the
Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI).
This change is not only a most welcome further mark of recognition for
the journal but also of clear importance for researchers choosing
where
best to place their work.
For more information on the Index, see

The Stata Journal is already indexed in the Science Citation Index
Expanded and the CompuMath Citation Index, as explained at
<http://www.stata-journal.com/indexed.html>
Authors interested in submitting to the Stata Journal can find out
more
