Thanks to Kit Baum an update of the -seqlogit- package is now
available on SSC. To install this package type in Stata
-ssc install seqlogit, replace- or -adoupdate, update-

-seqlogit- will fit a sequential logit model, which is also
known as: sequential response model, continuation ratio logit,
model for nested dichotomies, and the Mare model. This model
models a process that consist of a sequence of steps. For
example attaining an education typically consists of a
sequence of steps from one school to the next. A sequential
logit model estimates the influence of explanatory variables
on the probabilities of making these steps/transitions.

In addition, the -seqlogit- package contains a post-estimation
command that will display a decomposition of the effect of an
explanatory variable on the final outcome (continuing the
example, the highest achieved level of education) into effects
of the variable on the probabilities of passing the transitions
and a weight assigned to each transition. This decomposition
was proposed by Buis (2009a)

The -seqlogit- package also allows for a sensitivity analysis
to investigate the potential impact unobserved heterogeneity,
as proposed by Buis (2009b).

This update consists of a slight simplification of the syntax
that will hopefully prevent some typos when using this command,
and an extention of the sensitivity analysis capabilities, so
that it is now possible to study the impact of potential
confounders, i.e. the unobserved variable is correlated with the
explanatory variable of interest. (Appart from that there are
various smaller improvements that should not be visable to the
users but will make it easier for me to maintain/improve this
package)
