Hi Mark,

I updated ivreg2, xtivreg2, ranktest and then stata, but unfortunately
this did not fix my problem.

Perhaps, anothe piece of useful information is that XTIVREG gets me
the results within 5-10 minutes, while XTIVREG2 runs for more about 2
hours before returning the error message.

Any other suggestions would be truly appreciated,
