Dear Nigussie,
in order to increase the chance of get a reply, I would recommend you to
post your queries on the list.
As far as I can get your issue, another option coming from the health
economic research field, might be to produce a scatter plot showing the
sampling distribution of the joint density of the statistics of interest
(eg. mean) after bootstrapping the original point estimate (see - help
bootstrap -). I do hope that it is suitable for your research purposes.

I have tried to use ellipse command but without sucess. I would be happy if

Greetings!

 I have share of food expenditure and log of total expenditure variables and
want to plot joint desity of the logarithm of total expenditure and the
share of budget devoted on food in three dimensions. I am wondering if
there's way to plot the curve using stata. Furthermore, I want to plot joint
density surface too. Any help is very useful to me, please let me know.
