Thanks for all of the replies and comments on this problem.
I presume there were additional replies I did not see....
Some mentioned spam filtering, which I had considered might
be the problem. It would be a little strange, as my statalist
email account is hosted by the same ISP as one of my regular
accounts, which never seems to have delays. However, I can
see how the statalist mailings might receive extra scrutiny.
At least, knowing that at least one user has instantaneous
access to posts encourages me to look for a solution. It's
not so much impatience as feeling more and more reluctant to
spend time on a reply (or initial post) that may never show
up.
thanks,
Jeph

Is it just me, or has statalist become a bit more
erratic in delivery of late? Over the last say two
months I find that (compared with the archive) I
lose approximately 1/3 of the posts. This is consistent
with about 1/3 of my own posts never showing up on
the list.
It may be that my email service (Earthlink) is trapping
them, but before I try to take on them, I thought I'd
see if others had the same experience.
thanks,
Jeph
