Hi everyone.
Thanks to Kit Baum, some updates to funcdep and collapseunique in the collapseunique package have been placed in SSC.

funcdep tests for functional dependency; collapseunique collapses data to unique values within by-groups.

funcdep formerly was sortpreserve; it now is set up so that the sortpreserve effect is optional. This change was made because there may be times when you want it to leave the data sorted by the basis variables, especially if you are invoking funcdep repeatedly. collapseunique, which calls funcdep, has been adjusted to take advantage of this change, and may run more efficiently under some circumstances.

For those that are interested,...
ssc desc collapseunique
ssc inst collapseunique
