Dear all,

Following a request by Matthew Sydes, the -evhistplot- package now includes an example do-file. Hans-Peter Blossfeld has kindly allowed that the do-file uses a dataset, which is available from his web-page. The dataset was originally provided for his book on event history analysis with Stata - the book is co-authored with Katrin Golsch and Gtz Rohwer. The example do-file shows three different plots and is hopefully rather self-explanatory. Thanks goes to Kit Baum for promptly making the update available on SSC.

Regards,

Henrik

PS: The package was described as follows in my first announcement of it on Statalist:

The package evhistplot plots individual event histories with different event types indicated by differently colored dots resulting in one string of beads for each individual. Different event types may reside in different variables, or they may be identified in a separate variable.

When birth times are not specified, the individual histories are given as horizontal lines with calendar time on the X-axis. When birth times are specified, the individual histories are plotted in a Lexis diagram with calendar time on the X-axis and age on the Y-axis.

To describe and/or install just type:

ssc describe evhistplot
ssc install evhistplot
