Thanks to Kit Baum, an update to the -oaxaca- package is available
from the SSC Archive. -oaxaca- computes the so-called Blinder-Oaxaca
decomposition, which is often used to analyze wage gaps by sex or
race. To install the update, type

 . ssc install oaxaca, replace

or use the -adoupdate- command. -oaxaca- now fully supports survey
estimation and has various other new features.

A working paper describing the methods and containing examples can be
downloaded from

 http://ideas.repec.org/p/ets/wpaper/5.html

Note that -oaxaca- has been completely rewritten. Syntax and usage
changed and, as a consequence, old do-files cannot be used with the
new version. However, the previous version of -oaxaca- is now
available as -oaxaca8-. To install the old version, type

 . ssc install oaxaca8
