Can a -tempfile- created in one do file be preserved for availability to a
do file called from the first do file?

It seems that when I create a -tempfile- in a given do file say do1.do, and
that do file calls another do file (do2.do), the tempfile created in do1.do
is not available to the second do file (do2.do) even if the second do file
is called from the first and the program returns to the first when the 2nd
finishes running.

Is there a way to preserve a tempfile in this situation so that it remains
available for use by another do file called from the first?
