Hello Statalist,

I am trying to graph an interaction between continuous and categorical variable in a panel data analysis. The dependent variable is continuous. The regression command I am using is:

xi3: xtreg growth5yr cratio i.re i.re*cratio {other predictor variables}, robust

where cratio is the continuous variable, re is a three-category variable, and growth5yr is a continuous variable.

I have tried a few approaches (using the predict postestimation command, generating yhat variables from the regression equation), but am getting inconsistent/strange results.

Does anyone have suggestions on how to correctly graph the relationship between cratio and growth5yr at each of the 3 levels of re?

Thanks,
Janna
