st: storing correlation coefficient

Hi statalister
 
Does anyone know how to store the correlation coefficient of a simple correlation in a new varible
 
let's say we have
 
corr X1 X2
 
             |      x1    x2
-------------+------------------
         x1 |   1.0000
       x2   |   0.3470   1.0000

local Value = "here I would like to store the value 0.347"
