Hello Statalisters,

sometimes ago there was a question "Does a .do-file know it's name?",
the answer to which seems to be "no". I have a somewhat related
question: "Does an .ado file know whether it was launched from a
command line, or from within a .do or an .ado file?"

Why do I want to know? I want to vary the amount of output and it's
presentation, depending on whether the user has launched the command
at is stearing at the screen, or whether the results are supposed to
be archived somewhere in the logs.

I know I can have a an option to control this. The question implies no
change in syntax.

Any ideas?

Best regards,
