The 'coloring' in help files refers to hyperlinks (like HTML links  
that you can click on).
All formatting in Stata's official help files is performed by SMCL,  
the Stata Markup and Control Language. It is similar in some ways to  
HTML or LaTeX in that it is a markup language, with tags.
