st: RE: -statsby- question
One possibility might be to use -parmby- instead of -statsby-. -parmby-
is part of the -parmest- package, downloadable from SSC, and creates an
output dataset (or resultsset) with 1 observation per parameter per
by-group, and data on estimates, confidence limits, P-values and a
choice of other parameter attributes specified by the user.
An alternative is to use -statsby- to store a dataset with estimates and
standard errors, and then to use the -parmcip- program (part of the
-metaparm- package, downloadable from SSC) to compute confidence limits
and P-values from the estimates and standard errors.
I hope this helps.

Subject: st: -statsby- question
Dear all
Is it possible to save p-values with -statsby-? I'm looking for
something like
. statsby _b _se ?pval=...?, by(foreign) saving(xyz, replace): reg price
mpg weight
(Of course, one could do something like - statsby _b _se df_r=e(df_r),
by(foreign) saving(xyz, replace): reg price mpg weight - and then
calculate the p-values from the resulting dataset by aid of the -ttail-
function. However, I think there has to be a more direct way.)
Thanks a lot.
Kind regards,
Daniel
