st: not including a legend for part of a plot

Hi all--
Suppose I have a twoway plot that has 3 time series. I want to include a 
legend just for the first two series.
If I do:

legend(label(1 "10th percentile") label(2 "90th percentile") label(3 " "))

it doesn't include the label for the third series but it still shows the 
symbol/color.
I just want a legend with the symbols and labels for the first two series...

Also, if I just use
legend(label(1 "10th percentile") label(2 "90th percentile"))
the legend for the third series shows up anyway.

Any suggestions?
