Subject   st: FAQ on Cox model with continuously time-varying parameter

Dear Statalist users,

In the STATA FAQ titled:
"How do I estimate a Cox model with a continuously time-varying
parameter?" (found at
http://www.stata.com/support/faqs/stat/stcox.html), the model uses the
variable time, where time = (time-470). I would like to try a similar
model, but I can't figure out where the 470 comes from. Could anyone
out there help me out?

Thank you very much!

Sincerely,
Luciana
