Hello All,

I am using Intercooled, v.8.2 and it is up to date.

I have a small tab-delimited text file (.txt) that I am -insheet-ing to Stata w/ little
problem, except for the fact that the lengths of several of the string variables are not
long enough to accommodate the values in the field. I reviewed the text file I am
insheet-ing and the values for the string variables are not truncated in that file. The
syntax is simply:

insheet using ch1.txt

A cursory search of the Statalist archives did not yield anything immediately relevant...

Many Thanks in advance!
