Commands sorted by id and then by to year does not have effect on the data base

sort id year: does not have effect

This panel data base were constructed from sucessive cross-sections data. Cohorts of individuals over time, where cohorts are defined by date of birth. The data are placed below of the other of clamped form (Pooled Data).



Three cuts were made to break down the sample into the following classes: id=1, corresponding to individuals in the 24 to 32 age group; id=2, corresponding to the 33 to 41 age group; and id=3 that covers the 42 to 50 age group. Cohorts were constructed so as to include all individuals of the same sex (either male or female) in a specific age group. The year is the year of the survey, and members are the members of individuals (id) in each cohort sampled in each survey year.



We carry out the analysis of the earnings of the Brasilian nurse using the fixed effects methodology for a pseudo-panel. Using the fixed-effects approach to estimate earnings equations, combined with the Oaxaca-Ransom (1994, 1999) decomposition methodology, we test the hypothesis that wage differentials amongst nurseare mostly due to gender discrimination.



I have about 4157 repeated time unbalanced panel data (pooled data)



This data base represents only 5% of the sample.
