Hello everybody,

I would like to apply a roughness penalty method using
Stata instead of using SAS routine.
Did any of you use this method? And in particular, do you
know if it is possible to do it with Stata?
I know that the kernel density command produces some
similar results, but because I use household aggregate
data, would be difficult to tackle with kernel-based
smoothing methods.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Paola
